Anne On The Issues
![]() |
Healthcare Anne believes that good healthcare should be available to all the residents of the 24th district. That is why she supports fully funding our hospitals so that every resident will have access to healthcare. Anne knows that the quality of healthcare provided to patients should be a top priority. Quality of healthcare is directly related to who is giving that care, that is why she supports safe staffing through minimum nurse to patient ratios which has been introduced in Senate Bill 742 sponsored by Senator Daylin Leach. Anne also supports our continued care of seniors and children through Medicaid and CHIP and believes these programs are the foundation of our healthcare system.

Education
Anne knows that the continued success and prosperity of the 24th District relies on an educated work force. She knows that education begins from an early age and continues into adulthood. Anne will work to fund the State Public School Funding Formula so that our schools provide students with a 21st Century education and smaller class sizes. She also knows that if the state does not address public school funding now, our local school districts will have to continue to raise property taxes in order to compete. Property taxes area burden to many of our residents, especially seniors. Anne will make education funding a top priority in this year's budget.
Government Accountability
Anne is tired of politics as usual in Harrisburg. We can count on Anne to take her no-nonsense approach to the State Senate and create real change.
Here's Anne's plan to clean up Harrisburg:
Revenues
Times are hard and Anne knows that funding services can be difficult in today's ureconomy. That is why we must continue to look for additional revenues that won't burden working Pennsylvanian's of the 24th District. On the budget, Anne believes that we need a smart and sensible solution that doesn't tie up services and state employee's paychecks for weeks at a time. As with her home and family budget Anne understands that like many families in Pennsylvania, Harrisburg needs to tighten it's belt and use our tax dollars with sensible spending as their first priority. Anne knows that one viable revenue would be a toll on Route 80. Route 80 is one of the most traveled commercial interstates in the country, and Pennsylvanians are left to foot the bill for the wear and tear on the state's longest stretch of highway. Tolls on Route 80 could provide $60 billion in statewide transportation funds over the next 50 years. |
